Although we're coming to the end of Black History Month, I invite all of you to the event where black culture is always celebrated - Libation!
If you missed the Erotic Valentine's Day Bash you missed a hot one!!! DJ Brian Coxx (Soulgasm) joined Ian Friday on the turntables and tore it down! Libation artist-in-residence, Concep, painted live on the body parts of willing participants and belly dancer, Oshun-Goddess of the Sea, graced us with her tantalizing moves. Also, special shout out to Nicole who conducted love astrology readings in the gallery. The reading she gave me was so spot on it was scary!
This Thursday will be all about the music when Ian goes it alone and spins Global Soul as only he can. Afro Mosaic Soul will be on hand to make sure you're having a good time and Concep and the Collaborative Arts Project will take an empty canvass and bring it to life with their brilliance.
Also, we're excited to announce that we'll be bringing Libation to 2008's Miami's Winter Music Conference for two very special events! First up will be the Brooklyn Mecca Meets Libation party on Wednesday, March 26 at Buck 15 from 7pm-12am. I suggest arriving early cuz' last year was packed! DJ's Ian Friday and Sabine will spin, AMS will host, Concep will paint and yours truly will perform some new shit! Then on Saturday, March 29th from 1pm to 9pm, we team with Melting Pot NYC for another event not to be missed! DJ's Ian Friday, Rich Medina, Spinna, Kervyn Mark and Kamala will spin, and Queen AaMinah and I will perform live. So if your going to the conference make sure to add these on your schedule. Best of all, both events are FREEEEEEE!!!
