IT'S 2008 YA'LL!!!
2007 ended with a roar and 2008 is beginning with a tidal wave of good s**t!
My birthday party at Libation in December was insane when two of my favorite dj's, Ian Friday & Rich Medina spun an eclectic night of true Global Soul. If you know me then you know that I rarely take to the dance floor, but on this night I was truly "WORKIN' UP A BLACK SWEAT!" I was also honored to have the very Fly Lady Di painting live during the party and, of course, Afro Mosaic Soul was there to wreak havoc on the dance floor. January marks the return of Libation as a bi-monthly party, taking place every 2nd & 4th Thursday at Sapphire Lounge. For the first event, resident dj Ian Friday is joined on the 1's and 2's by the three lovely Ladies of Ubiquita (Reborn, Selly & Moni). If you ever had the privilege of going to one of their parties back in the day at Guernica, then you know that this is an event not to be missed. Also, on hand will be incredibly talented visual artist, Concep painting live with his crew, Collaborative Arts Project.
One of my new year's resolutions is to dance more often, so I hope to see you at this event so that you can hold me to it.
