Hope things are well with all of you. Can you believe we're in the month of May? Soooo much is going on right now that I barely have time to write, but I wanted to reach out to everyone and let ya'll know what's up.
First, I want to thank everyone who came out to the Libation 2nd anniversary event w/Peven Everett. It was a fantastic night of music and Peven tore it down!!! Special shout outs to Afro Mosaic Soul, Behringer, Mert, Caroline, Lynn, Fusicology, Traxsouce, Steve B., everyone at Sapphire Lounge and Jae of MoonRisingNYC.com, whose pics are included below.
On Thursday, May 8th we will celebrate the birthdays of our esteemed resident dj, Ian Friday and our resident man about town, Brian Polite of Afro Mosaic Soul. Joining us on this magical night will be none other than, JoshFromBlaze (Blaze Imprints). Josh is one half of the incomparable production duo Blaze, who are responsible for some of my favorite Global Soul joints including: "Found Love", "My Beat", and "Elevation". He'll be on the turntables that night while visual artist, Crystal Clarity does her thing live on canvass.
Before we get to Thursday, I'd like you to join me on Monday night for the release party/performance of my latest EP titled, My Mind's I. The EP is a mix of soulful r&b and Hip-Hop and will be on sale at the end of the performance. We will also be selling "Black Like Jesus" t-shirts on that night, so if you haven't copped one yet, now's your chance. DJ Ian Friday will start the night off with a special set so be sure to arrive early.
Also, be sure to check out the photo exhibit of talented photographer, Amanda Adams-Louis. The exhibit will run from April 27th to May 15th. There will be a party celebrating her work this Saturday, May 3rd.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you for the continued support of my endevours. Know that I don't take it for granted.
